Write Page Contents on CMS

The Content Management System has structured document tree to organize the pages in the website. You can use the tree GUI with WYSIWYG editor.

Content Editor

In order to manage the content in your website, you can use content management system. This CMS has tree structured document management engine.

This system is suitable for website with blog contents for content based SEO.

Open Editor

At first, you have to open the content with content editor. In order to open it, click the "Article and Pages" button on the top page of administration console.

Then following page appears.

We can edit contents by using this page. The left pane shows the structure of the website, and the right pane is to edit contents selected with the left pane.

By double clicking the pane on the left document tree, we can open the page  with WYSIWYG editor on the right pane.

Create a new page

In order to create a new page, right click the tree node on the left pane. Then following context menu appears.

And select the "Add a new page" from the menu. Then following dialog appears.

On this dialog, you have to select the position of the new page. There are 3 options.

  • Before this node
  • After this node
  • inside this node

The "this node" means the page you right click when you select the context menu. You can add a new page at any position.

The title is the page title. And Page Type is attribute of the page which is used when out put RSS, sitemap.xml and generating Html from the template program.

There are following types as default.

  • contents
  • blog
  • blog-category
  • module
  • tag

When you write main contents, please select the "contents", and write blog then select "blog".

The Page Template is to specify the template of the page. This CMS can specify template for each page. The default value on the combo box is same with the selected page when you right click the page.

After input these information about new page, click the "Create Node" button. Then a new page was made at specified position.

Save Draft document or Publish page

This CMS has function to save draft article before publish. The status of the article is shown on the left top side of the content editor pane.

This CMS supports following status.

  • Draft Only
  • Published
  • Published + Draft

By clicking the "Preview" button, we can preview the draft article and check it.

If you check the page content, and it is OK, click the "Publish" button. then following dialog appears.

On this dialog, you have to specify things about following operation.

  • Pages effected by publish
  • Update Timestamp or not

If you add a new page, other pages are effected. For exmaple, if other page uses navigation parts and partial sitemap, the page have to be re-published again.

Otherwise, when you add some content on the page which has nothing to do with other page's internal links, you do not have to republish other pages.

The "Update Updated Time" check is to update sitemap, rss and send pubsubhubbub ping. If this check box is on, these operation is done automatically.

After input information about publishing this page, click the "Publish" button.

WYSIWYG Editor

This CMS has WYSIWYG editor to edit web contents like word processor. It has WYSIWYG mode and source code mode.

Write content

After opening a document with editor, the WYSIWYG editor is available.

By using this editor, you can edit content of the page with GUI. This editor has following functions.

  • Bold, Italic Underline
  • Font size and Block Setting
  • Text Align
  • Number list and decorated list
  • Super script, Strike
  • Indent
  • Link and Anchor
  • Html Table
  • Images
  • Movie and Embedded objects
  • Inner modules

Especially, anchor and links are useful to write long page.

View and Edit Html source code

On most of case, you can do almost everything with WYSIWYG mode. But sometimes you have to edit the source code of the Html. In order to edit the source code of the content, click html source button.

Then following pane appears.

This source code editor has 2 buttons, they are "Format Html" and "Apply to Editor" button.

At first, the Html code generated by the WYSIWYG editor is messed, therefore by pushing "Format Html" button, it formats the Html code.

After editing the Html code, push the "Apply to Editor" button, then the code is saved in the Html area of the WYSIWYG editor.

If you do not want to save the code, just click the close button, and finish the Html Editor.

Image and other resources

There are 2 ways to add images on the contents.

  • Upload Images
  • Paste image copied in the Clipcoard

This WYSIWYG editor supports copy and paste cia clip board. Therefore, you can use screen shot taker software in making web content with Office software.

After saving the partial screen shot in the clip board and push Ctrl+V key on the WYSIWYG editor, you can add image on the page.

Pasted image by base64 encode

After doing paste image on the WYSIWYG editor, you can edit the image's attribute with it. The image is initially saved as base64 encoded string on the src attribute of the img tag.

On saving the content by "Update Draft" button or "Publish" button, the CMS convert it into the image file automatically.

Inline module

This CMS supports inline module. Inline modules are one of templates which are available on the web contents. About the example of inline modules, please take a look at Embedded parts on WYSIWYG editor.

By clicking inline modules button, following dialog appears.

Select the module to insert by the combo box and click the "newObject" button. Then the new module is inserted on the WYSIWYG editor.

After you insert the inline module, you can set parameters for the module. Click and select the module on the WYSIWYG editor and click inline modules button again, then following dialog appears.

On this dialog, you can set parameters for this module.

Page Attributes

This content editor has area to set attributes of the page. We can toggle the pane hide and show by "Detail" button. When the pane is shown, following pane is there.

By clicking the "Close" button on the top of the pane, the pane is hidden.

This attribute setting has following ones.

Select template

This CMS can specify the template for each pages. The template setting is for desktop pc and smartphone and mobile.

When you use responsive web design, the Secondary template, which is for mobile template, is not necessary. Just set the template for desktop pc.

Title, description and detail of the page

On this pane, following setting about the page title and description is available.

  • Title and Subtitle
  • Short title
  • Description
  • Headline and ShortTitle

The page's title is consists of the Title and Subtitle. These are combined by the template on publish. If the subtitle is empty, the subtitle is not set.

The short name is used for the navigation parts. When the title is too long for navigation's appearance, please set this. If you set it, navigation parts uses instead of the Title. it can be empty if it is not used.

Page Type

The Page Type is a marker to set the type of page. This marker is used on following operation.

  • Generate sitemap xml file and Rss feed
  • Generating navigation menu with the template engine.

The most used type is "contents" and "blog".

Keyword Tag group

By clicking the "Tags" tab on the content editor, following pane appears.

Tags of the page

The keyword tags are managed with Keyword Tag Management Console. By clicking the links of tags, you can open the console with a new window and edit it.

Additional Html Header

By clicking the "Additional Code" tab on the content editor, following pane appears.

You can specify the meta tag for this page. If there are same meta tag in the template of this page, the template engine over write the meta tag.
